Last week, the Sourcing Champions team, along with Ivalua, joined the Nevi Procurement Day 2025 as a Premium Nevi Partner. With IMPACT as the guiding theme, the event shed light on the true realities of the procurement community. The event explored everything from the challenge of being socially responsible and resilient in a volatile world to the growing role of innovation, and procurement science in shaping the future of the community.
Highlights
Michel Scholte set the tone for the morning with his passionate energy. As the co-founder and board member of True Price and Impact Institute, he offered a visionary perspective on the power of True Pricing in shaping more responsible economies.
Ron Keller, former ambassador to China, Turkey, and Russia, shared sharp insights into today’s global geopolitical landscape. He highlighted how shifting power dynamics, from traditional great powers to emerging coalitions like BRICS, are reshaping the global economy, and what this means for procurement leaders adapting to increased complexity.
The Sourcing Champions and Ivalua teams delivered three in-depth sessions on how AI can support the development of impactful category strategies. We highlighted how people, processes, and digital tools must work together to drive results. We also introduced practical prompts that can support each step of the process, while emphasizing the critical role of human expertise in providing the right inputs and aligning actions and levers to the organization’s value contribution targets.
With a creative touch, Nicolaas Duin connected musical harmony to the idea of alignment among procurement professionals and internal stakeholders. His piano-led opening and finale beautifully highlighted the pivotal role procurement holds in shaping real impact.
